Summer Library Program for
Babies & Toddlers, ages birth to 4 years

This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the Landing on the Moon by the Apollo 11 astronauts. We are celebrating this important milestone by presenting our summer theme, "A Universe of Stories".

This year Brown Library is offering programming for everyone, babies through adults. Here in the Children's Room we will be registering folks for either the Babies & Toddlers section (wee ones birth to age 4), or the Older Kids section (children ages 5 - 12). Both sections will have programming specially designed to spark children's imagination and increase their love of books and reading.

We are thrilled this summer to be offering a summer program for our youngest library friends! Babies and toddlers are like little sponges, absorbing the world around them at the speed of light. Reading aloud to your child is a priceless family ritual that can offer comfort, strength, and joy. A child is never too young for a shared story. Experts say that reading to the very young is the best way to forge a lasting bond, and to establish a lifelong love of books, stories, and reading. We will have lots of age-appropriate activities and prizes for these young participants!

We wil begin registering children on June 3. The summer library program officially kicks off on June 21. Please refer to the attached calendars for all the events planned so far for babies and toddlers.
